OPENING DATE: 14 July 2020
CLOSING DATE: 14 September 2020
Support for Impact (SIP) actions are coordination and support actions. Research and development activities are not eligible to be funded in SIPs, instead there is a clear focus on dissemination and exploitation activities.
A key requirement is an external request for the work from an organisation ready to take up the outputs of the project and move them on to impact outside the metrology community. The organisation making this request is called the Primary Supporter. Without such a willing recipient expressing support for the proposal and identifying the actions they will take with the outputs of the project, the proposal would have no evidence of the route to impact and should not be funded.
SIPs must be based on research outputs from a completed iMERA-Plus, EMRP or EMPIR Joint Research Project, referred to as the 'Related JRP'.

In response to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the EMPIR Committee and the EMPIR Programme Manager have agreed the need for 'virtual' evaluation meetings for the EMPIR Call 2020. This is in order to mitigate the impact of current and potential future restrictions on social movement and travel due to COVID-19, to avoid last minute changes and to ensure continued fairness for all applicants.
A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document has been produced to provide information on the 'virtual' evaluation meetings. The FAQ can be found here
All eligible proposals will go forward to be evaluated at the virtual consensus meeting.
