EURAMET e.V. and the EMPIR members invite interested parties to submit normative topics.

Stage 1 offers the chance for all stakeholders from any country to influence the R&D projects undertaken by the European metrology community by identifying the challenge, problem or opportunity for potential normative topics (PRT).

The highest priority normative topics received in Stage 1 will provide the basis for Stage 2.

1 Metrology for the determination of emissions of dangerous substances into indoor air
2 Developing understanding of the metrological performance of the reference methods used to provide traceability for reported emissions data
3 Air quality- Performance evaluation of low-cost air quality sensors
4 Improved uncertainties and evaluation of methods for monitoring diffuse emissions from distributed sources
5 Harmonisation of Proficiency Testing Across a European Infrastructure of National Stack Simulator Facilities to Ensure Consistency of Emissions Measurements and Documentary Standard Testing/Validation
6 Measurement methods for key control characteristics of graphene, especially stability and reliability testing of graphene materials
7 Validation work to support the development of standard reference methods for the measurement and monitoring of volatile organic ozone precursors in ambient air as defined in Directive 2008/50/EC

9 Evaluation of nanoparticle emissions from consumer products
10 RfG system aspects of electrical energy supply

The CIE priority research topic can be found below

1 Quantifying temporal light modulation (i.e. flicker, phantom array and stroboscopic effects)
2 Calibration and characterization of HDR-cameras for luminance distribution measurements and glare evaluation.
3 Performance of 'light dosimeters' for monitoring non-visual effects and related visual effects
