EURAMET e.V. and the EMPIR members invite interested parties to submit normative topics.

Stage 1 offers the chance for all stakeholders from any country to influence the R&D projects undertaken by the European metrology community by identifying the challenge, problem or opportunity for potential normative topics (PRT).

The highest priority normative topics received in Stage 1 will provide the basis for Stage 2.

In preparation for this call, EURAMET invited organisations with an interest in standardisation to submit briefing material to inform those submitting potential research topics. The following was supplied by CEN and CENELEC.
The CEN/CENELEC priority research topics can be found below:

1 Assessment of workplace exposure to chemical and biological agents - nano-objects
2 Measurement of rainfall intensity
3 Reverberation chambers for radiated radio interference measurements
4 Thermal Performance of Buildings and Building Components
5 Thermal conductivity measurement - super insulating materials
6 Building adhesives - Determination of moisture content
7 Solar thermal collector and thermal energy storage
8 Thermal systems for nZEB buildings
9 Assessing the environmental impact and cost of solar thermal systems
10 On-site performance of solar thermal plants

Further detailed needs are being collected by CEN and CENELEC and will be published here as they become available. Please check this page for updates during the call.
