2019-06-28. Ivana Coha Ruđer Bošković Institute The main task of Laboratory for radioecology of the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, Croatia includes determination of activity concentrations of radionuclides by radiometric methods in different kinds of samples. We are equiped with 5 HPGe spectrometers, 1 LSC (Tri-Carb 3180 TR/SL, additionaly Quantulus GCT is ordered), α/β low level counting system (iMatic), alpha spectrometer with PIPS detector and other laboratory equipment (system for electrolitic enrichment of tritium, FAAS etc.). The Laboratory is accredited according to HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2007 for the determination of gamma emmiters (standard and mathematical calibrations by LabSOCS), Sr-89,90 in liquid and solid samples and Fe-55, H-3 and gross α/β activity in fluids. The gross α/β is determined according to ISO 10704 and ISO 11704. Within metrology programme in Croatia, our Laboratory determines indicative dose, Rn-222 and H-3 in water samples. therefore, we think that we are capable to contribute to this research topic.
