|2019-06-19.||Tuomas Tiainen||Aalto University||Aalto University Rotor Laboratory has conducted research on multi probe roundness measurement of large flexible rotors, including measurement of high order harmonic components (such as measuring barring effects on paper machine rolls).
In the laboratory we have a full size test bench that can be used to measure roundness of large flexible rotors paper machine rolls with laser displacement sensors on a measuring frame. The laboratory facilities also include a coordinate measuring machine, roundness measurement machine and several other multi probe roundness measurement devices.
We have recently performed simulation research of the effect of positional errors and eccentric/center point movement of the workpiece on the accuracy of roundness profiles. The methods could also be adapted to research the effect of ball probing ball size on the filtration harmonic components.
