2020-06-17. Rui Martins Labelec EDP is a major player in the electricity sector with operations in 16 countries, presented in 4 continents.

Labelec is the EDP center of technical excelence that includes electric laboratories (high voltage, energy metering, smart lab for energy meters, smart lab for control and protections systems, strorage and mobility lab, insulating materials lab, Environment lab, and others).

Labelec is focus on smart and new technologies of energy generation. We are involved and we are developing some projects regarding these issues, like:
- Strorage - Testing and simulating solutions
- Offshore wind generation - Comissioning, electric, control and protections tests
- Photovoltaic generation - Comissioning, maintenance, regular inspections
- Post-mortem analysis
- SENSIBLE H2020 energy management and storage project - This project was awarded by the European Commission, ifield of Innovation and Energy, with the status of “Flagship Project”.
