EURAMET e.V. and the EMPIR members invite interested parties to submit normative topics.
Stage 1 offers the chance for all stakeholders from any country to influence the R&D projects undertaken by the European metrology community by identifying the challenge, problem or opportunity for potential research topics (PRT).
The highest priority research topics received in Stage 1 will provide the basis for Stage 2.
To submit a PRT please upload your completed Word document (using the template provided), via the Stage 1 submit tab, by the deadline of 20 February 2017 23:59 CET
In preparation for this call, EURAMET invited organisations with an interest in standardisation to submit briefing material to inform those submitting potential research topics. The following was supplied by CEN and CENELEC.
The CEN/CENELEC priority research topics can be found below:
|1||Power transformers - magnetostriction requirements to improve acoustical noise performance|
|2||Power transformers - improved facilities for loss measurements|
|3||GUM - Demonstrating best practice|
|4||e-health - Quantities and Units|
|5||Humans - quality assurance of metrological data|
|6||Thermal Performance of Buildings and Building Components|
|7||Coordinate Measuring Machines - uncertainty evaluation|
|8||Building adhesives - Determination of moisture content|
|9||Radiation Protection at accelerators|
|10||Railway track geometry recording systems|
|12||Non Destructive Testing - uncertainties associated with eddy current and ultrasonic tests|
|13||Non Destructive Testing - focal spot size on X-ray tubes (down to 100 nm)|
|14||Electricity meters - disturbances at 2 to 150 kHz|
|15||Non Destructive Testing - Thermography|
|16||Thermal conductivity measurement - Superinsulating materials|
The titles of the CIE priority research topics as outlined in the CIE Research Strategy August 2016 are listed below.
More information can also be found on the response form.
|101||Healthful Lighting and Non-Visual Effects of Light|
|102||Colour Quality of Light Sources Related to Perception and Preference|
|103||Integrated Glare Metric for Various Lighting Applications|
|104||New Calibration Sources and Illuminants|
|105||Adaptive, Intelligent and Dynamic Lighting|
|106||Cone-Fundamental-Based CIE Colorimetry|
